“With the large scale breaches that have happened it was apparent to us that we should be stepping up our security,” said Dale Hobbs, manager of network and security systems, LUSH. “Over the past year we have deployed a lot of new security systems. Most of it is preventative and focused on PCI compliance. We have upgraded our SIM, bolstered the firewall, and added additional end-point protection to keep the network secure.”
One of the crucial solution providers LUSH has partnered with as it looks to expand its security efforts is AlienVault. The handmade cosmetics retailer has deployed two of the solution providers offerings: Unified Security Management and Open Threat Exchange. AlienVault’s Unified Security Management is a comprehensive approach to security monitoring, delivered in a unified platform. The platform includes five essential security capabilities: asset discovery, behavioral monitoring, vulnerability assessment, SIEM and intrusion detection. The solution is designed to provide resource-constrained organizations with all the security essentials needed for effective threat detection, incident response, and compliance, in a single offering. The solution simultaneously monitors cloud, hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.
