As the internet of things phenomenon gains more traction, security should be uppermost in our minds. This article discusses 6 important security measures, however the suggestions follow the same path as traditional IT security, where we have as an industry not done a great job at securing our users. Perhaps there is a radically different approach that needs to be taken, which assumes that we will be hacked, and therefore focuses more on detection and incident response.
